ZLynx Active Optical Cable

 Zarlink?s ZLynx products are fully integrated electrical-optical-electrical (EOE) cable assembly designed for interconnecting enterprise data centers and high-performance computer clusters. The optical cable delivers significant weight, flexibility and reach advantages versus copper-based cables, providing system installers with reduced installation times and improved airflow management while eliminating weight-related layout concerns.

	Fully Integrated Optical Interconnect Solution: Compact, single-construction cable solution with integrated CX4-to-CX4, QSFP-to-QSFP and hybrid CX4-to-QSFP terminations.
	Plug-and-Play Performance: Electrical connection to front panel via a CX4/InfiniBand powered ports, status lights indicate power is being supplied to the connector and data is being transmitted.
	Extended Reach: ZLynx cables support an extended reach of up to 100 meters. In comparison, copper is limited to a reach of less than 10 meters.
	More Flexible: ZLynx optical cables have a bend radius of 25 millimeters, an improvement of 60 percent compared to 24-gauge copper cable.
	Low Weight: A 10-meter cable weighs just 175 grams, 80 percent lighter than equivalent copper solution.
